This knife is a collaboration between 2 of the most exciting knife makers amd sharpeners around today... Satoshi Nakagawa as the Blacksmith and Naohito Myojin as the sharpener. 

Satoshi Nakagawa has 16 years experience training and working with some of the greats, lately with Shiraki Knives until the retirement of Kenichi Shiraki. 

Naohito Myojin has over 10 years experience sharpening and forging some of the best knives including the Fujiyama series from Konosuke.

This range of knives is made from Blue 1 carbon steel clad with iron. Blue 1 steel has some of the best performamce specifications out there and will cut, sharpen and retain with the best of them. It is a very reactive steel and sonatina will form quickly and care should be taken to keep the knife clean and dry. With a Rockwell rating of 64HRC it holds it's sharpness brilliantly well.
