Tetsujin knives are a collaboration between Toru Tamura as the Blacksmith and Naohito Myojin as the sharpener.
Toru Tamaura is a relatively young blacksmith who trained under some the greatest masters such as Hiroshi Kato, and produces some of the most impressive new knives we've seen recently.
Naohito Myojin is known as one of Japan's greatest sharpeners who has also trained as a master blacksmith. He is working in the 2nd generation of the company Myojin Riki Seisakusho where his knives are superbly finished around the spine and heel making them some of the most well finished and refined knives we've seen. Superb performers and things of beauty too...
This range of knives is made from Blue/Aogami 2 carbon steel with a unique 'metal flow' finish. Metal flow is not like damascus layers but shows the actual grain of the metal, like wood. It is extremely skillful and a very rare method making these knives something quite special indeed.
