The Blacksmith - Yoshikane

Yoshikane Hamono knives are forged in the city of Sanjo under head Blacksmith Kazuomi Yamamoto. Their knives are made with superb skill, materials and attention to finishing detail making them fantastic long term knives with excellent fit and finish and a super sharp edge.

The Range - SKD Nashiji

These knives are some of the greatest performers we've seen, and they rightly hold an international reputation for their incredible quality and performance. Insanely sharp yet very forgiving and solid in performance, these knives are favoured by many all over the world. The Nashiji finish, which translates as pear skin, is gorgeous and gives the knife a very striking appearance.

The Steel - SKD

SKD steel is a carbon steel achieving a super sharpness while also being pretty easy to keep sharp. It's clad with stainless steel which helps protect against any reaction to moisture. Our care instructions for a carbon knife, link below, should be followed.

The Model - Santoku

Similar to a Gyuto chef’s knife, the Santoku offers a large light blade with a taller profile and a flatter belly, making the knife excellent for a more ‘up and down’ chopping motion for meat, fish or vegetables. Blades vary from 160mm to 180mm. This is a great knife if you want an all rounder with shorter blade and a good weight to it.
