The Blacksmith - Kanetsune

Kanetsune is a Japanese Knife maker with a long tradition in supplying knives of all types. With experience like this you know you're getting an excellent quality product no matter which area of their range you are looking at.

The Range - Hammered

These superb value knives are made using DSR 1K6 stainless steel to deliver excellent performance and easy maintenance at a very low price point with a traditional look and feel.

The Steel - DSR 1K6 Stainless Steel

DSR-1K6 is a modern stainless steel. It offers great performance at a very achievable price point. Being cheaper and softer than other stainless steels it will require sharpening more often.

The Model - Santoku

Similar to a Gyuto chef’s knife, the Santoku offers a large light blade with a taller profile and a flatter belly, making the knife excellent for a more ‘up and down’ chopping motion for meat, fish or vegetables. Blades vary from 160mm to 180mm. This is a great knife if you want an all rounder with shorter blade and a good weight to it.
